New deal for Emma Smith, author of the best-selling ‘This is Shakespeare’

Penguin Press UK and Pantheon US have commissioned PORTABLE MAGIC, a history of our intimate relationship with reading by Emma Smith, Professor of Shakespeare Studies at Hertford College, Oxford and author of the best-selling This is Shakespeare.  Rights have also been acquired by Mondadori in Italy and Azbooka-Atticus in Russia.

Sue Prideaux wins Hawthornden Prize 2019

Many congratulations to Sue Prideaux who won this year’s Hawthornden Prize for her biography of Nietzsche, I AM DYNAMITE! The Hawthornden Prize is a British literary award that was established in 1919 by Alice Warrender.
