In a lauded response to the BLM crisis Waterstones have selected WHY I’M NO LONGER TALKING TO WHITE PEOPLE ABOUT RACE as their July Non-Fiction pick, reflecting the book’s enormous resurge in popularity – taking the #1 overall UK spot for four consecutive weeks – in the wake of a nation feeling its need to reeducation.
20% of all proceed will go to race-related charities.
Reni’s debut enjoyed unparalleled success when it was first published in 2018, winning the British Book Awards Non-Fiction Book of the Year, the Foyles Non-Fiction Book of the Year, the Blackwells Non-Fiction Book of the Year, and the Jhalak Prize, with Booker-winner Marlon James calling it “essential” and “begging to be written”, but has recently surged back to dominate the top of the Sunday Times, Amazon, Audible, and Nielsen Book Charts.
