This December, Prince William and Kate Middleton will join Mary for her seasonal BBC special, A Very Berry Christmas.

Mary and the Royals will serve up a festive feast to show their gratitude to the men and women who spend their Christmases helping those in need.

Mary will join the Duchess behind the scenes at RHS Wisley to learn more about Kate’s commitment to raising the next generation of happy, healthy children, and accompany the Duke to the Passage Charity to meet some of the 130,000 people helped by the its resource centre, homelessness prevention projects and two innovative accommodation services.  She will also visit the UK’s first dry bar to chat with the inspiring people whose lives have been changed by the help and support of Action on Addiction before hitting the kitchen – helped by Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussain – to cook for a very special Christmas party, hosted by the Duke and Duchess, to thank and acknowledge staff and volunteers from the charities and organisations who will be working tirelessly over the festive period.

Mary said: “I am honoured that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have invited me to join them on four of their royal charity engagements this Christmas. It will be truly special to see the causes so close to their hearts, as well as to hear all about the amazing support these charities provide. The finale is a big Christmas party and I will be cooking up a feast for them to enjoy. A one hour Christmas special not to be missed.”

A Very Berry Christmas is set to air on Monday 16th December at 8:30 on BBC One, and the brand new and updated edition of Mary Berry Cooks Up A Feast, with Lucy Young, is out now.
