Welcoming our New Intern
Posted on 17/01/2020

Nina graduated from Oxford with an English degree in 2018 – and she is very pleased to be back! After unversity, she completed an editorial internship at an arts and culture magazine before spending four months travelling around South America. On her return, she worked in the marketing department of a law firm and was a freelance submissions reader for Granta Magazine. She arrives at FBA having worked as a Bookseller at the flagship Waterstones in Piccadilly over the Christmas period (not for the faint of heart).
She likes books that grapple with the incomprehensible and sometimes inadequate nature of language and communication – recent examples include The Topeka School by Ben Lerner, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, and The Idiot by Elif Batuman. She also enjoys black humour and unlikeable protagonists, and so loved My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh and The New Me by Halle Butler.
