Each spring, Mystery Writers of America present the Edgarยฎ Awards, widely acknowledged to be the most prestigious awards in the genre, and this year, we are delighted to announce that Ursula Buchan has been nominated in the Best Critical/Biographical category for her wonderful life of her grandfather, the spy thriller writer and diplomat, John Buchan, entitled Beyond the 39 Steps.

Interestingly, Ursula’s book isn’t the only one on the shortlist with an Oxford connection, with The Mutual Admiration Society concerning Dorothy Sayers and her Oxford circle.

The prizes will be awarded at the annual Edgar Banquet, this year taking place on April 30, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York City.
