Gill Hornby New Deal

Miss Austen by Gill Hornby, a moving, fictional account of Cassandra and Jane Austen’s final years, was pre-empted by Selina Walker at Century (World English Language) for a six-figure sum. Miss Austen is scheduled for publication in spring 2020.

Gill is a journalist whose debut novel, The Hive, sold to Little, Brown UK in a heated auction and went straight to the top ten bestseller list. Gill’s second novel, All Together Now, was published in June 2015.
