Agent & Managing Director

Catherine Clarke represents a broad range of writers of serious non-fiction, including history, nature writing, biography, and philosophy. She also represents a number of bestselling and prizewinning writers for children and young adults. In 2017 she was named Literary Agent of the Year at the British Book Awards.

Caroline Wood

Agent & Director

Caroline Wood was a film producer before joining Felicity Bryan Associates in 2006. She represents writers of literary fiction, well-written commercial fiction and crime fiction, including a number of award-winning and top ten best-selling authors. She also represents some non-fiction, primarily memoirs. She became a director of FBA in 2010. In 2022 she was shortlisted for Literary Agent of the Year at the British Book Awards.

Carrie Plitt

Agent & Director

Carrie joined FBA in 2016, where she represents award-winning and bestselling authors in categories including science, memoir, nature, history, current affairs and literary fiction. She was named a Bookseller Rising Star in 2018, promoted to the board of directors in 2019, and was shortlisted for Literary Agent of the Year at the 2021 British Book Awards.

Sally Holloway

Associate Agent

Before becoming an agent, Sally was a publisher, editing and commissioning authors for Penguin, Headline, Fourth Estate and others. She represents non-fiction writers, some award-winners and bestsellers, others just starting out on their careers, many with international appeal.

Angelique Tran Van Sang

Agent

A former editor, Angelique is actively building a list of authors of literary fiction and narrative non-fiction. In fiction, she looks for works that strike the heart and intellect in equal measure – fresh and unexpected pathways into seeing the world anew. In non-fiction, she’s interested in essays and longform narratives that have a distinctive voice, and a clear and precise vision.

James Gill

Agent

James joined FBA in 2024 from United Agents, where he specialised in general-trade fiction and non-fiction. He represents prize-winning and bestselling authors with original voices. He is drawn to real-life stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, and particularly to first-person books that shows us a life, or an occupation or situation that we don’t know about.

As an agency, FBA handles a number of esteemed literary estates.
